Application Risk Review
Application risk, environment, customer requirements, critical dimensions, magnetic output, coating needs, and production volume are reviewed before selecting a quality plan.
Quality Planning
Axis Magnetics can support the quality steps a program needs: material review, magnetic inspection, coating validation, reliability testing, assembly controls, and production documentation.

Not every program needs every step. The quality plan is selected around customer requirements, application risk, production volume, and the way the magnet or assembly needs to perform in use.
Application risk, environment, customer requirements, critical dimensions, magnetic output, coating needs, and production volume are reviewed before selecting a quality plan.
Drawings, material callouts, tolerances, magnetization direction, coating requirements, inspection points, and acceptance criteria can be reviewed before sampling.
Material path, HRE-Free requirements, magnetic performance target, coating compatibility, and production fit can be checked against the application.
Critical dimensions, chamfers, arcs, rings, molded features, plastic carrier fit, assembly position, and tolerance stack-up can be verified.
Surface gauss, flux, polarity, pull force, field-map behavior, multi-pole pattern, and magnetization orientation can be measured as required.
Chips, cracks, plating defects, exposed edges, cleanliness, cosmetic limits, handling damage, and packaging protection can be defined.
Coating thickness, adhesion, corrosion protection, salt spray, humidity exposure, and edge coverage can be reviewed for NdFeB and assemblies.
Thermal cycling, high-temperature exposure, humidity, life-cycle testing, demagnetization risk, and environmental durability can be reviewed.
Magnet presence, polarity, orientation, adhesive bond, overmolded retention, pull-out force, fixture controls, and finished assembly checks can be planned.
First article checks, sample inspection reports, coating reports, magnetic measurement data, and approval records can be prepared when required.
Lot inspection, process checks, sampling plans, control points, traceability, packaging checks, and nonconformance review can support repeatable supply.
Certificates, inspection summaries, material documentation, test reports, and program-specific quality records can be added when required.
Documentation
Some programs need basic dimensional and magnetic confirmation. Others need sample reports, coating validation, lot traceability, or automotive-style documentation. The plan should fit the requirement.
IATF-oriented documentation support can be reviewed when an automotive project requires it.
Inspection plan or control-plan style checkpoints
First article or sample inspection report
Magnetic measurement report for flux, gauss, polarity, or pull force
Coating thickness, adhesion, humidity, or salt-spray report
Dimensional report for critical-to-function features
Material and coating declaration support when required
Lot traceability and packaging requirements
PPAP-style documentation can be reviewed for automotive programs when required
